Twine will be disruptive

I’ve been looking for Twine as a personal tool, and I didn’t know it until I saw this video. Twine will help you organize your personal info, sure, but the public byproduct of its use will be a better, smarter knowledge layer on the Internet. Once it scales, it could compete with Wikipedia, Delicious, Google Search, Adsense, Adwords, and PIM tools. I’ve learned that it’s usually folly to make big predictions, but Twine is so insidiously useful that it could become the next Google. It may seem very humble at the moment, but it’s on the right trajectory, it’s got the right base technology and approach. I wouldn’t be surprised if, five years from now, Twine is a multi-billion dollar company that Google and Microsoft are falling over themselves to acquire. The great thing for me, and for every other geek out there, is that Twine doesn’t need to become a behemoth to be personally useful. I think this tool will be the answer to my Wiki/Bookmarking needs at the least. Nova Spivack and company have a huge vision and I can’t wait to see how they implement it. Twine is definitely a product to watch.
