LinkedIn Platform vs. Facebook Platform

Wired has a nice little piece on the upcoming LinkedIn application platform which is based on OpenSocial. I love how LinkedIn is allowing your data to actually be yours, and therefore to be readable (with your permission) via API. This is something Facebook really hasn’t groked yet. They’re still jealously guarding all your data as if it were their own. Another thing I love is how LinkedIn itself will use its own platform to add new site features. That just smacks of smart design.
